Created The Mine's Single Line Diagram using AutoCAD for Coal Mountain Operations
Introduced to SEL protection element & Multilin Motor Protection Control
Assisted Programming Ladder Logic for variable frequency drive to control the speed of submersible pumps
Responsible for creating a plan to monitor the health of Komatsu mining equipment such as shovel PC 5500 after slew ring broke twice within a year costing more than two million dollars. Pressed Komatsu for real-time communication on equipment with KOMTRAX Plus installed with an acceptable data visualization. - Researched the right troubleshooting tools for the job. Devised a plan using templates on Microsoft Dynamics AX to print troubleshooting guidelines with a work order. Enforced feedback after fault code troubleshot for future reference. This Real-time > Action > Feedback will save the company millions of dollars preventing equipment from breaking down.
Tested the durability of equipment, such as megger high voltage trailing cables and transformers
Evaluated load growth of Motor Control Center by measuring the amperage of equipment while in use, comparing to its FLA and using Canadian Electrical Code for its wire sizes and protection elements
Certificate of completion of Electrical Safety Training System ESTS
Certificate of completion of CCP151: Studio 5000 Logix Designer Level 2: Basic Ladder Logic Programming by Rockwell Automation
Participated in Courageous Safety Leadership sessions and I was fully committed to work safely and foster safe practices at all operation
Responsible for coming up with a plan to store electrical equipment for a number of years without energizing them. Included but not limited to motors, breakers, Motor Protection Control, Motor Control Centers, oil and dry transformers using Volatile Corrosion Inhibitors
2007 - 2009
Designed schematic and tested simulation of audio and display circuit
Gained physical circuit debugging experience
Designed, tested and ordered Printed Circuit Board using KiCad
Designed a 3D printed clock body component using SolidWorks
Coded an STM board in C

Electrical Engineer
Assist in the management of a $100M portfolio of capital projects in the Niagara, Hamilton, South West Ontario, and Ottawa area. Under the direction of a Sr. Project Manager, my direct tasks include but are not limited to:
Ensure project is on the budget, on time, and does not deviate from the original scope
Ensure each team member is clear on their own roles to avoid overlaps or gaps and their deliverables timing requirements
Address deviations to the original plan, (ie design changes, work sequencing, etc. - Consider cost, safety, schedule and cascading project impacts)
Address scope changes, ensure Asset Management approval, associated funding & schedule changes are addressed
Prepare and have Intermediate Review of Variance (IROVs) & Variable Change Notice (VCNs) approved before the current approved gross budget is exceeded
Maintained good communication with various lines of business such as construction, engineering, real estate, environmental, community relations, estimating department, commissioning (P&C and stations maintenance) to the monthly forecast project budget
Prepare Month End Reporting (MER) for management review
Monitor or ensure Material Status Report (MSR) being monitored to track delivery of critical materials & equipment
Create project execution plan (PEP) which provides a guideline to execute, monitor, and control the project. The PEP serves as the primary mechanism to ensure that everyone on the project team is aligned, knowledgeable of project objectives, and clear on how they will be accomplished
Escalate issues on critical projects when irresolvable at the staff level
Ensure management is apprised of any safety or environmental issues
